On Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 7:30 pm, Columbia Basin Allied Arts presents the internationally acclaimed Borealis String Quartet, from Vancouver, British Columbia. One of the most dynamic and exciting world-class ensembles of its generation,  The Borealis String Quartet has received international critical acclaim and as an ensemble praised for its fiery performances, passionate style, and refined, musical interpretation. Since 2000, the Borealis have held the position of Quartet-in-Residence at the University of British Columbia. This residency includes regular performances and collaborations with faculty, chamber music coaching with students, as well as regular master classes. The Borealis String Quartet is dedicated to bringing music to the schools and the younger generation and is active in many regional outreach programs both in North America and Asia.
